Cipete Raya is well known as the road of coffee shop. There are too many coffee shop on that particular road, thanks to the third wave coffee that was born on that road. That is why, when my friend asked to meet at Twin House in Cipete, I was skeptical that it will be just another coffee shop.
That Sunday morning, after 15 km on bicycle from home, I paused a bit on where Google Map showed where Twin House is. I saw Twin House signage next to a small alley enough for 1 car. Following the small alley there are large green open space, with a white house. Written in front of the white house are the words: “TWIN HOUSE”.

There are many people sitting outside under the tree, mainly cyclist. I wasn’t so interested, as it was quite a hot day. So, I picked a table in the air-conditioned indoor area. While choosing what food to eat, I ordered a cup of Latte to start. The Latte was delivered with a heart

One particular food catch my attention: Nasi Wangi Roast Beef Sambal Matah. Yeap, it is the Balinese Sambal Matah that catch my attention. I ordered one as tummy filler for the ride back home. It come with generous amount of Sambal Matah, crackers and fried egg. But, just like any Sambal Matah outside Bali, it lack of the strong coconut smell. Overall, the Nasi Wangi is enjoyable.

My friend Roy arrived when I was about to finish my food. To accompany him, I ordered an Americano. The Americano taste just as usual. I believe that, most espresso beans used in most coffee shop is optimized to be enjoyed with milk, and the Americano confirm this.

All in all, Twin House is a warmth place for breakfast with couple of friends. The green yard under the share of tree, the wooden table, counter, and rustic ceramic ware used to serve the coffee makes one willing to just sit and enjoy Sunday Morning before Monday come in.
I will definitely come back for the warmth. But, consider the food and coffee as additional item for Twin House.
