In order to meet my 2015’s running resolution, I decided that it is time to be back to the gym. Doing weight training at home is pretty limited in term of equipment (I don’t have full dumbbell set, and never decided to buy one due to space constraint), and space (I can go from one wall to another within 1-2 roll).
In the first 2 weeks since I’m back to the gym, I mostly join a class to do full body strength training. The training in the class involves my core muscle, inner hip, back, chest, and many more. I’m pretty much enjoying the class, while cursing the sore muscles the next day.
The gym is also a comfortable place to run in case of the weather is less cooperative. As much as I despise running on treadmill, it is still better than not running at all.
I must say that I’m impressed on how much treadmill has evolved. While still fell like hamster machine, a name that my ex-boss gave, the treadmill has bigger screen. It even integrated to my Android phone, and able to pull not only music, but video and ebook. Imagine yourself running on treadmill with big screen, watching your favorite movie, or reading your favorite ebook.
I’m still testing whether these improvements will be able to make the longer treadmill session easier to endure.
