Seminyak is famous for its relentless energy, parties, and endless rows of shops. Yet, somehow, Good Soil manages to carve out a peaceful sanctuary for itself, tucked away in a quiet area otherwise crowded with villas.
It features a layout unlike any of Bali’s typical eateries. Almost the entire interior—from the honey-hued floors to the walls and window frames—is crafted from warm wood. Following the wooden stairs to the second floor, you’ll find a quiet coworking space. I could easily imagine it as a calm, cool hub for focused work or creative collaboration; I’ve already made a personal note to return when I have a deadline looming.

The food arrived in perfectly generous portions. I opted for the Health Bowl, a colorful mix of egg, edamame, sautéed mushrooms, and corn. It was exactly the hit of protein and clean carbs I needed to kickstart the day, paired naturally with a bold Americano for my morning caffeine fix.

Grace went for the Hash Brown Avocado, which came topped with a perfectly poached egg—her absolute favorite. The dish was a beautiful play on textures: the crunch of the warm hash brown meeting the buttery softness of the avocado and the rich, creamy flow of the egg yolk.

On our way out, we spotted Biliq Co-living right next door. With its combination of a coworking space, a coliving home, and an eatery all tucked into a leafy, quiet corner of the neighborhood, it feels like the ultimate home-away-from-home for a long-term stay for those who seek calm, yet remain productive.
