The warung is small, but not cramped. The clear white paint on the wall helps give a feeling of extra space. And also, the white color keep the heat away from Bali afternoon sun. Because, like many traditional warung, there are no AC in Warung Cahaya Seminyak.

Line forming in the left corner in front of small window. Despite the limited item on the menu, people can’t seems to decide which one to order. All feels good and smells good. We also took some time to make up our mind, before settled into Crispy Pork Belly and Fried Pork. Both are served with Sambal Matah.

On the first bite, I would say this is one of the best Crispy Pork Belly in Bali. The Pork Belly is crunchy, cracking like a crackers in my mouth. Moving to the next dish is the Fried Pork. It is properly seasoned, and soft in the mouth. And to add to already delicious porks are the Sambal Matah. A properly Sambal Matah like this one is not spicy. It should have the smell and taste of coconut oil and shallot with just enough spiciness.

All three of us finished our own plate. Each of us also ready to finish whatever left from the other plate. But in the end, even the Sambal Matah is finished. Warung Cahaya Seminyak is really living up its reputation as one of the best Crispy Pork Restaurant in Bali.
