Aloft Jakarta Wahid Hasyim: A Complete Work and Play Guide

Posted on August 21, 2026August 18, 2026 By Benny

Tucked right into the bustling heart of Central Jakarta, Jalan Wahid Hasyim is lined with competitive hotels. If you need a reliable stay for work or a fun weekend getaway, Aloft Jakarta Wahid Hasyim is a choice you cannot miss.

Let’s start with the lobby. Staff members are ready to welcome you with genuine smiles. But the space itself steals the show with built-in games.

You will find a giant snake and ladder carpet complete with plush dice on the floor. Right behind it sits a pool table in front of the lively WXYZ bar. Across the reception desk, the cheerful noise of guests playing foosball fills the air.

Past the playful lobby, our room features two windows facing west toward Jalan Thamrin. The space easily accommodates a work table by each window, a king-sized bed, and a cozy sofa.

Standard amenities like a coffee maker and a safe deposit box are fully ready. What makes Aloft even more impressive is the water station located right by the elevators. It lets you refill your water bottle easily while cutting down on single-use plastic.

Breakfast is served daily at Nook restaurant on the first floor. A standard buffet is available, offering cereals, fresh fruit, a variety of breads, and classic Western dishes.

Something special caught our eye in the outdoor area: dedicated live-cooking stalls serving authentic local comfort food. You can sample rotating daily menus featuring bubur ayam (chicken rice porridge), lontong sayur (rice cakes in coconut milk), nasi uduk (fragrant coconut rice), and soto (traditional Indonesian soup).

Exploring the Surroundings

Being situated right in Central Jakarta makes Aloft incredibly strategic. Here are top spots nearby to keep you busy from morning until midnight:

Sarinah shopping center, just a walking distance away
  • Monumen Nasional (Monas): Known locally as Monas, this massive landmark boasts wide paths. For runners, the surrounding park is ideal for a crisp morning 5k or 10k.
  • Sunday Car-Free Day: Every Sunday from 6 AM to 10 AM, nearby Thamrin Road is closed to vehicle traffic. Locals flock here to run, cycle, or simply stroll for morning exercise.
  • Sarinah: Jakarta’s oldest shopping mall has received a complete modern overhaul. Its curated local retail concepts make it a massive hit for the younger generation.
  • Jalan Sabang: Located just steps away, this legendary street comes alive 24/7. It is packed with local restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and bustling street food vendors.
  • Grand Indonesia & Plaza Indonesia: These premier malls are just a short taxi ride away. They are perfect for luxury shopping or dining at upscale restaurants.

Final Words: Is Aloft by Marriott Jakarta Wahid Hasyim Worth It?

Spacious rooms, unbeatable city energy, and live food stations make Aloft a standout choice. Two nights simply are not enough to experience it all.
